Church Services

EasterRegular Sunday Services

Holy Communion 10.30am every Wednesday.
Sung Eucharist 9.30am every Sunday.

For most services readings are taken from The Revised Common Lectionary from The New Revised Standard English Bible. The  1982 Scottish Liturgy is used.

Children are welcome at all services. In a supervised children’s area, guided activity echoes the theme of the Sung Eucharist.

We meet for coffee and fellowship after the 1st Sunday Sung Eucharist and after our Wednesday 10.30am services for those who wish to stay.

ChristinglesChristian Festivals
There is a full range of additional services at Christmas, Holy Week and Easter.

Included among the range of Christmas services is a Christmas Eve children’s nativity service: come as a camel or perhaps as a Wise Man! Christmas morning service is marked by Christingles.

Children are invited to join an Easter Egg Hunt in the church garden following the Easter Sunday service. In addition, Mothering Sunday, with posies presented to women in the congregation, Ash Wednesday, Harvest Festival and Advent are especially marked.

Harvest Festival is a major event at St Adrian’s involving the congregation and the wider community; Evensong precedes a Harvest Supper.

Special Services
Baptisms are usually conducted during services. As for wedding, funeral, memorial and thanksgiving services, arrangements should be made with the Rector. Holy Communion at home will be arranged if requested.

Special prayers may be included in services; details of the procedure are available on the church notice board, or you can email a request for a prayer to: contact@stadrianschurch.org.uk
